KyaArt - Moulding creativity into business

She always loved arts and crafts. And when she heard about a local hobby class, she was clear about joining it to hone her skills. That was when she was just in class 8! After completing her SSC exams, she joined Rachna Sansad Institute located at Prabhadevi, Dadar (Mumbai) for a Diploma in Interiors and textiles. The rest, as they say, is history... or should I say art history!

Meet Jinisha Shah from Mumbai who runs a home decor and gifting store where she exhibits and sells her creations. The store is called KyaArt (branded by yours truly!) for obvious reasons. When you see the products at the store, you are bound to exclaim, "Kya art hai boss!"

Jinisha's journey reflects the result of creativity, dedication and support of family members. She worked earlier with companies like Camlin and Faber Castell. What's more interesting is that she was a part of the popular creativity show MAD on Pogo TV channel. The show focuses on transforming ordinary materials into stimulating works of art with a MAD twist. She was associated with Rob's team that conceptualized and taught kids innovative arts and crafts for over 3.5 years. She was also a part of the countrywide creative summer workshops for kids organised by the channel.

After gaining experience, she decided to set up her own shop, to be an entrepreneur her family would be proud of. She launched KyaArt a year and a half ago at Dadar. She is thankful to her parents and brother Jubin who always encouraged her to follow her dreams. While Jinisha takes care of creating wonderful gifting items and managing the store, her brother helps her participate in events, trade fairs and exhibitions. The brother-sister duo have created an excellent example of how siblings can help each other in their dreams and success.

KyaArt range of products include customized as well as ready-to-buy clocks, torans, glass paintings, gifting envelopes, name plates, quilling strips, photo frames and much more. She loves to receive calls when someone wants to customize a special gift for their loved one.

The brand is growing fast and has a list of loyal customers today, both individuals and corporates. It is a dream turning into reality and an inspiration to creative people who after talking to her think, "Let's bring the best out of our creativity! Like Jinisha, we too can!"
